Our Story

Vaughn Elementary School opened its doors and welcomed our first students in August of 2022. The opening of Vaughn signified a commitment to modern education while still honoring the legacy of Vaughn Public School which operated from 1905-1960. Vaughn Elementary proudly adopted the eagle as its mascot, symbolizing strength, vision, and a soaring spirit. With this powerful emblem and a dedication to educational excellence, Vaughn Elementary School is poised to inspire and empower its students.

Vaughn Elementary School has achieved remarkable recognition for its dedication to fostering excellence in education. The school was honored by the Arkansas Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a Model STEM School in May of 2023. This prestigious distinction highlights Vaughn's commitment to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. This recognition is a reflection of the school's innovative approach to teaching and its emphasis on preparing students for the challenges and opportunities of the future.
