Visitor Check In Procedures

We are always happy to see families and guests at school and want to welcome you each time you come. When you arrive, the first step is to check into the office. Ring the doorbell to the left of the door to notify us you are here. An office staff member will be happy to answer your questions and help you with your needs. Visitors in the building or on the school grounds must enter and check in through the school office. Visitors are asked to present their valid state identification, which is scanned, and to wear the visitor badge given to them at check-in.

We welcome parents and guardians to join your child for lunch for special occasions or visits. We have cafeteria seating reserved so you may enjoy lunch with your child. If you are visiting for lunch, you may bring food for your child but may not share food with other students.

Late Check-In Procedure:

If you bring a child in late, please ring the doorbell on the wall to the left of the door. Someone from the office will assist in checking your child in for the day. Please remember to provide all doctor notes to the attendance clerk. The best way to ensure doctor notes are received is to email a copy to vesattendanceclerk@bentonvillek12.org. 

Check-Out Procedure:

Please ring the doorbell on the wall to the left of the door. Someone from the office will assist you. Please remember a State-issued photo identification is required to check out your child. Once identification is verified, your child will be released for check-out.

Circumstances, such as an ill or injured child.

• Please have your ID with you to pick up your child. The office will scan it and return it to you.

Dropping off items to students during the school day:

Only items needed for learning will be allowed to be dropped off during the school day. Items such as glasses, Chromebooks, and lunchboxes are allowable items.
